Just like the world, the technology around us is changing. There is a curiosity about emerging technologies. One of such is Meta, the new name of Facebook. People now want to know more about the Metaverse. To understand how the world around us is changing, we shall be looking at the differences between metaverse, multiverse, and omniverse.

What Is the Metaverse?

Metaverse represents a three-dimensional virtual world, bringing together physical, virtual, and augmented realities on one platform. It combines the boundaries where real life and virtual identity connect. The benefits of the Metaverse are expected to be seen in the workplace, entertainment, thousands of applications, and many more.

Metaverse mostly involves the use of social media platforms for users to interact with the virtual world. Using a virtual reality headset, Metaverse will greatly impact how we live our lives. Users will be able to create digital copies of themselves as avatars. These avatars will be able to live in a virtual world, socialize, work, shop, and enjoy sports and concerts without switching platforms.

Additionally, Metaverse is an emerging technology that will impact how people make money. Some people are already buying cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and real estate in the virtual world to enjoy their lives in it.

What Is the Multiverse?

Multiverse is the technological world we live in at the moment.  The discrete virtual world Multiverse presents is independent of our physical worlds or other existing worlds. In other words, Multiverse is a collection of virtual worlds accessed through apps, websites, or games. These access points are independent of each other and do not affect the physical life of participants.

Unlike Metaverse, there is no converging of virtual worlds in the Multiverse, and the activity of users on a virtual platform does not impact or influence the activities on other platforms. Socializing in the Multiverse is limited to sharing media, photos, and posts through the internet.

To buy the Multiverse, you will have to first Etheruem (ETH) and use the coin to get what you want.

What Is the Omniverse?

The Omniverse is a collection of Multiverses and Metaverses. It is the sum of all that can be achieved with economies and digital economies. The base for Metaverse is provided by the Multiverse, and both of these frameworks fall under the Omniverse.

The Omniverse at the moment is a hypothetical technological world. We still hope to see the technology even if it is still far from development. When it does happen, the Omniverse will converge digital identities and economies, and greatly change the way we socialize over the internet.

Financial Implications of Metaverse or Multiverse

The frameworks, Metaverse and Multiverse, will come with their standards. They will influence speech, interaction, commerce, and content creation. Most of them will employ non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and/or native digital assets. These will be utilized to represent ownership, purchase futures, property, or real-world products.

As an investor, you must consider the use cases for any crypto token or coin required to purchase something on the Metaverse platform. Furthermore, you should think about the impact that partnerships between companies will mean on your digital assets in a given Metaverse. This is important as rights to those assets may be altered in some way later on.

Conclusion

The 21st century has brought with it much technological advancement that people would not have imagined 2 decades ago. It is sure now that you will hear more about the Metaverse, Multiverse, and Omniverse in the coming years. These subjects have a lot of opportunities that you can enjoy if you connect with them.
